This new MRI technology will enable the physicians at Lewiston Orthopaedic Associates to provide patients with almost immediate results of their MRI scan, allowing more timely diagnosis and treatment and ultimate resolution of their pain.

The hardware and software advances in Signa 1.5T provide exceptional clinical and productivity advantages while creating a platform for new techniques and applications.  

Equipped with a Signa 1.5T system, our facility can now handle virtually any MRI application, but the system will be used primarily for studies of orthopaedic conditions of any part of the body.

Having the capability of MRI in-house has allowed the physicians to treat patients more quickly,  conveniently and competently. The patients, especially those from the outlying areas, are pleased that they are not required to make an appointment elsewhere for testing. 

Lewiston Orthopaedic Associates located the MRI Suite in the lower level of the Lewis & Clark Outpatient Surgery Center. The goal of the physicians was to make this procedure as non-threatening as possible and to create a comfortable environment. Pre-medication is available for those who are extremely anxious or claustrophobic.
